WebVantage takes security and privacy seriously.  The following represents WebVantage's Privacy and Information Policy.

1. Definitions

The following terms are defined and referred throughout the entirety of this document.

  • WebVantage – WebVantage Pty Ltd Trading as WebVantage Business Solutions, owners and subsidiaries.
  • The Service – Any combination of Web Based Applications, Software as a Service, Matrix Applications, Website Hosting, Web Applications, or any other online service provided for use by WebVantage.
  • The Customer – Any corporation, individual, or entity who subscribes to the Service.
  • The Customer’s Customer – Any corporation, individual, or entity who subscribes to services offered by The Customer by means of The Service.
  • Information – Any personal or business details pertaining to the identity or business dealings of entities or individuals relating to The Customer. 
  • The Customer’s Information – Any personal or business details pertaining to the identity or business dealings of entities or individuals relating to The Customer’s Customers. 

2. Privacy

This represents the Privacy and Information Handling Policy of WebVantage. 

2.1. What Information WebVantage collects and stores

2.1.1. Only the required Information needed to provide The Service is collected by WebVantage.  This may include Information not directly needed for the provision of The Service but which is needed for contact purposes or to fulfil regulatory requirements.

2.1.2. WebVantage also stores The Customer’s Information on its servers.  The collection and storage of The Customer’s Information is subject to the terms and conditions of The Customer’s Privacy and Information Handling Policy.

2.2. How WebVantage collects Information

2.2.1. Information collected by WebVantage is primarily supplied by The Customer upon the purchase of The Service.

2.2.2. Information may be supplied by The Customer when changes are needed for operational purposes.  It is the responsibility of The Customer that Information on record at WebVantage is current and up to date.

2.2.3. Information may also be sourced from public databases like telephone listings, websites, etc.

2.2.4. The Customer’s Information is collected in accordance with The Customer’s privacy and information handling policy

2.3. How we use Information

2.3.1. WebVantage uses Information for the provision of services to its clients.  WebVantage also uses Information for the purposes of notifying its clients of changes The Service, services, disruptions, and new products and services.

2.3.2. WebVantage may disclose Information and The Customer’s Information to third parties when necessary for the provision of The Service.   For example: domain registries, hosting partners.  WebVantage only engages third parties which are known to be trusted and in compliance with privacy laws and accepted guidelines.  Information and The Customer’s Information provided in such a manner is then subject to the privacy information handling policy of the third party.

2.3.3. WebVantage uses The Customer’s Information for the provision of The Service only.  The Customer’s Information is used for system accounting and system generated communications which are controlled by The Customer.  Other uses of The Customer’s Information are documented in The Customer’s Privacy and Information Handling Policy.

2.3.4. WebVantage may be required by law to disclose Information and The Customer’s Information upon being issued with a relevant court order.

2.4. How WebVantage secures The Customer’s Information

2.4.1. WebVantage takes the securing of Information and The Customer’s Information seriously.  Information security policies and practices have been developed by a qualified security professional and are enforced. 

2.4.2. Every reasonable effort is made to ensure the confidentiality, integrity and availability of all Information (electronic or otherwise) in the custody of WebVantage by ensuring industry best practices are being adhered to.

2.5. The Customer’s rights

2.5.1. The Customer has the right to expect that Information which is collected and stored by WebVantage is accurate, up to date and secure.

2.5.2. The Customer has the right to expect that Information will not be disclosed to third parties for the purposes of marketing.

2.5.3. The Customer has the right to “opt out” of any regular communication by WebVantage which is not necessary to the provision of The Service.  To notify WebVantage of an intention to opt out of a particular communication, please contact WebVantage.

2.5.4. The Customer has can access Information stored on file by WebVantage after a notice sent in writing to: The Chief Information Officer, WebVantage Pty. Ltd.,PO Box 1135, NorthSydney, NSW,Australia.  WebVantage will require verification of identity prior to the disclosure of Information.

2.5.5. The Customer’s Information can only be disclosed by The Customer after contacting The Customer in accordance with their Privacy and Information Handling Policy.  WebVantage will not disclose The Customer’s Information to individual or entities for any reason unless specified by This Agreement.
