case studies

Lion Nathan

Lion (formally Lion Nathan) is a multinational food and beverage provider that initially commissioned WebVantage to provide an online booking tool for their XXXX Alehouse Brewery Tour operation. Since then, WebVantage cloud services within Lion have expanded to include the James Boag’s Brewery and Toothey’s.

Tour operation management

Both the XXXX Alehouse and Boags utilise the WebVantage Booking Management System to manage their tour operations. This not only provides a way for customers to make bookings through their respective websites but also allows staff to manage the day to day logistics of running the operation.

The integrated cloud / back-office model sees that staff have access to real time booking information, regardless of how and when the bookings were placed. No more seeing customers wait in long queues as they check-in because all the hard work is already done.

Agent control

Agents are able to login to the secure agent portal and create bookings on behalf of their customers.  They can then print or email vouchers for those customers.  This greatly streamlines the check-in process as the only step needed is to validate the details of the customer’s booking, the rest of the data entry has already been completed.

Commission rates and financial reports can be managed through the secure administration portal.

Gift vouchers

As a mechanism to boost revenue, the Gift Voucher Manager has been implemented. Now, products and services can be given as gifts with online purchase and redemption through the respective websites is now available.

Customers can purchase a gift voucher, pay for it with a credit card and have it emailed as a PDF file to the intended recipient. The voucher is made up of a fully customised layout as well as the secure redemption number.

The recipient can then login to the website to redeem for any combination of brewery tours and product merchandise. Staff can view the details of outstanding gift vouchers , manage policies such as expiry rules, and issue new gift vouchers sold in store through the Administration Console.

Online store

To facilitate the sale of merchandise, the Shopfront application has been implemented. This adds to Lion’s cloud in a seamless manner and allows customers to browse, buy and pay for merchandise.   The administration portal allows staff to view order details as well as manage the online store itself and run reports.

Powerful functionality ensures that product details are easy to maintain and make it simple for the customer to find what they are after.

Payment Gateway

Pivotal to any e-commerce deployment is a mechanism for customers to pay. Integrated into all the modules is the Instant Payment Service. This managed service adds secure credit card payment capabilities to the active Application Matrix modules. Complete visibility over transactions and the ability to issue refunds if needed is facilitated through the secure administration portal.

Campaign support

The back-end processing of redemption promotions has been one of the recent success stories of Lion's cloud services. The Shopfront system was set-up to manage the orders generated by the Toothey's Wallabies World Cup Jersey campaign.

As customers were encouraged to redeem promotional product, they were directed to a landing page by various promotional vehicles but ultimately entered address and payment details into the secure order processing facility provided by Shopfront.
